Since becoming a licensed attorney, Mr. Monterrosa has been dedicated to advocating for the rights of people from all walks of life. He has successfully represented individuals, small businesses and corporate entities. He has successfully litigated against entities including, but not limited to, the U.S. Department of Defense, California Department of Corrections, California Highway Patrol, AT&T, Pacific Bell, several California Unified School Districts, California Department of Health Services, U.S. Department of Transportation, multiple California State Universities, California Youth Authority, California State Personnel Board, several city and county police agencies within the State of California, and various corporations including the Hyatt Corporation, among others.
Mr. Monterrosa began his practice in Sacramento, California and has had offices in Sacramento, San Francisco, the Central Valley and he currently has an office in Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Monterrosa has appeared on behalf of clients in about every county throughout the State of California from Butte to San Diego Counties as well as before a California State Appellate Court. He has also appeared in Federal Court in the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California. In addition to pursuing a case to litigation when necessary, Mr. Monterrosa is a true advocate for his clients and has appealed to and personally met with members of the State Legislature to advocate for his client’s position. Mr. Monterrosa’s extensive experience has allowed his to truly experience and appreciate the diversity of this great State.
Mr. Monterrosa’s knowledge and experience both in front of the courts and “behind the scenes” makes him an effective advocate for the rights of his clients. He has developed a boutique practice which permits him the opportunity to give the personal time and attention to each and every client and utilize all available avenues to be an effective advocate in his client’s best interests.
Mr. Monterrosa is a first-generation American of El Salvadoran descent. He is fluent in Spanish and is active in the Latin Community.
While growing up, Mr. Monterrosa traveled frequently to visit family in El Salvador and spent time there during the country’s tragic civil war. During that time he not only gained an appreciation for the rich history of his homeland, but developed unique insight into the plight of the people living through those turbulent times. His experiences in El Salvador instilled in him a deep sense of justice and inspired him to pursue a law degree and advocate for individuals from all walks of life facing injustice.
At an early age Mr. Monterrosa discovered that he had a passion for flying. He pursued and achieved licensure as a certified flight instructor, certified instrument instructor and multi-engine instructor. He has logged over 2,000 hours of flight time and during his early twenties taught at one of the largest flight schools in the country. He also flew extensively as a private pilot throughout the country. While in law school Mr. Monterrosa had the pleasure to work for and fly with the late Robert “Bob” Guilford, Esq., of Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman, PC, in Bob’s Soko Galeb fighter jet.
Mr. Monterrosa was a former model, member of the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA and prior to his career as a professional pilot appeared in national and international commercials and television.
Mr. Monterrosa is an active supporter of the Arts in the Los Angeles Latin Community. His hobbies and interests include flying, equestrianism, cooking and fitness. He is also currently producing a documentary on the civil war in El Salvador.
